Each layer of abstraction solves half of the problems.

OK, but Aristotle stated "that which is in locomotion must arrive at the half-way stage before it arrives at the goal".
Which loud and clear means that by adding abstraction layers, the dichotomy principle will make my problems lead to zero, but unfortunately never reach it.
So, is multiplying abstraction layers just worth?
Instantaneously, I'd say no.
