So long
Dio has passed away...
I'll always remember the Heaven and Hell lyrics written on my folders, back in high school days.
Rest in peace Ronnie, and thanks for all.
New stuff
Let's take a look at my latest Amazon buys, in the music domain.
Some CDs, some DVDs, some nice, some deceiving.
Here we go.
DVDs:
- Scorpions - Acoustica
Original, and very good. I love Scorpions! - Iron maiden - Flight 666
What a tour! Maiden's classics remain the basis of my music. - Joe Bonamassa - Live At The Rockpalast
Very small room, awesome riffs. - Joe Bonamassa - Live From The Royal Albert Hall
Nice place, über rOxing show!
- Deep Purple - Live in Stuttgart 1993
Ritchie last performance with Purple, this live is a must have. - Blackmore's Night - Secret Voyage
Too much gypsy, not enough distortion. A deception. - Joe Bonamassa - Black Rock
Much inferior to Joe last albums. Too much FM, no more guitar hero solos...
Now I'm gonna calm down, the € is too weak, prices are rising...

Yes, my TODO list is huge, but I'm trapped between the nap call and ... Beat Hazard!
Gasp.
Thy shall not eat
In Faith of the Fallen, episode 6 of Terry Goodkind saga, Richard is stuck in a country ruled by the Imperial Order.
The civil rules are quite well described, and soon I had the feeling that Terry was no more than describing a communist system, where collectivism annihilates even the smallest spark of individualism.
I just wasn't expecting such a political analysis in a MedFan book

"Your life is yours alone, rise up and live it."
Well, that is all but false
Besides, Faith of the Fallen might just be so far the best book of The Sword of Truth saga.
Yes, it's sometimes very similar to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, but who cares? I don't.
Both authors seem to have similar problems with women and authority.
Huh, epic fantasy tasting RealLife™ ?
Life's a Motocross

Yes, there was rain, there was mud, but there was Motocross!
Had there been a little more light, the photographs would have been better.
Anyhow, some of them are available here.
Ride safe.
RULE#7
From Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth, here comes ...
The third Wizard's Rule:
Nice try, Reason, same player shoot again.

When everyone is sleeping...
I'm watching TV shows
Here's a quick roundup of what keeps me awaken when the moon's high and silent rules the house.
(here I'm not trying to be particularly either original or clever)
(I'm old enough to assume my hobbies, whatever they are)
- LOST: Yep, the unavoidable TV show. I just love this show, more for the characters than for the story itself. My fave being from far Desmon (I just love the way he says "Brother"). Sorry, because of the lump in my throat, I can't say anything about Charlotte... (OMG those eyes...)
The last season is very good, but I think I'll be disappointed once it's over, I've been Losting for so many years... - Fringe: As an ex X-Files huge fan, Fringe tries to fill the hole Scully left when X-Files ended. Season two has some really awesome episodes, my fave being Episode 16. Peter just rules, and Olivia is undeniably delightful.
- Caprica: Will Caprica be a new Battlestar Galactica? Clearly no. Perhaps end of Season 1 will make it smarter, but in the end, I came to the conclusion that there could be only one Kara Thrace, and she isn't born yet...
- The Pacific: I loved Band of Brothers, and I love The Pacific. Every one should watch these shows, as no one should ignore History.
- V 2009: Hahaha, that one isn't a very good show. But V 2009 reminds me of my youth, and, above all, it features a lovely bit of LOST in the person of Erica, aka Elizabeth Mitchell, aka LOST's Juliet
Doctor, I like two strokes fumes...
It was a time ... when David Bailey was ruling the motocross world,
a time when I was riding a prehistoric bike,
a time when JT was selling sexy helmets,
a time when four stroke engines were just a joke.

It was a time when I was young and motocross was a passion.
Now the time has passed by, David is still in a wheel chair, I ride no more, JT is selling ... paintball gear (wtf?).
But the MX flame still burns in my heart and soon I'll be present at a local race, like ... in the good old times.
Yes, as a spectator
